Job Description
Amanda oversees research administration for the Case School of Engineering (CSE), offering strategic and technical support, guiding budget management, and providing expertise in grant and award administration. She acts as a bridge between the Office of Research and Technology Management (ORTM) and CSE, ensuring institutional alignment while developing and implementing policies that comply with federal, state, and institutional regulations. Amanda leads initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce redundancy, and streamline proposal submissions and award management, while supporting CSE faculty and staff in advancing their goals.
Key Job Functions
- Develop and implement policies, streamline processes, and manage staff training to ensure compliance with sponsor regulations and university procedures while enhancing research productivity and operational efficiency.
- Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of over 1,500 grant and contract proposals annually, ensuring alignment with guidelines and sponsor requirements, and reducing redundancy in proposal and award management.
- Conduct financial analyses and provide strategic reports to support decision-making at the dean and executive levels, identifying opportunities for growth and improving overall research administration.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the institution to foster interdisciplinary research and drive strategic initiatives aimed at increasing external funding and supporting long-term institutional growth.
