Claire Daugherty is using the Keyence optical microscope in SCSAM to investigate the microstructure of young pig bones to better understand traumatic bone fractures in young children.
A senior in Case Western Reserve University's Departmentment of Environmental, Earth and Planetary Sciences, Yunlang Zhang was able to explore electron microscopy as a Summer 2022 Case School of Engineering SCSAM Fellow and found it to provide "efficient and accurate ways for studying geology."
PhD candidate Laura Wilson gave an oral presentation at the annual conference, while SCSAM executive director Jeffrey Pigott gave a poster presentation.
